Talking With Preston, Seiffert After Motor City Loss

Eagles defender Adison Preston | Daniel Herlensky

Columbus Eagles FC reporter Tayla Davis talked to defender Adison Preston and head coach Daniel Seiffert after the club lost to Motor City FC 1-0 on June 3. Madison Alexander scored the game’s lone goal in a performance that both Preston and Seiffert called one of the best of the Eagles’ season so far.

The club is back in action Sunday at FC Pride of Indianapolis. Kickoff at Mount Vernon High School is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Eagles still sit tied atop the Valley division with seven points, tied with Cleveland Ambassadors.

The club also announced that its next home match – June 16 against Empire United – is officially designated as “Save The Crew” night, in honor of the Columbus soccer community’s fight to keep Columbus Crew SC in central Ohio. Tickets for that match are on sale now for $10. Kickoff on the 16th is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Otterbein University’s Memorial Stadium.
