Mark Wise – Chief Executive Officer

Using his 20-plus years of coaching experience, Mark has built the Eagles from the ground up and runs day-to-day operations of the club. Mark holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National B coaching license, a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Advanced National Diploma and a NSCAA goalkeeping I Diploma.

Mark is an entrepreneur with over 45 years experience in business.  He is passionate about bringing professional women’s soccer to Columbus!

Eagles head coach Matt Ogden | Claire Kilbarger

Matt Ogden – Head Coach – WPSL Team

The Eagles hired Matt Ogden in December 2018 as the third head coach in club history. Matt brings to the Eagles nearly two decades of experience coaching soccer to girls and women in central Ohio. 

Outside of his work with the Eagles, he is the head women’s soccer coach at Capital University, where he won an OAC title and was named Coach of the Year in 2015. He’s also an accomplished club coach with Ohio Premier Soccer.

Eddie Hertsenberg – Head Coach – PASL Team

Coach Hertsenberg joins the Columbus Eagles FC as our head coach of the arena soccer team.  Eddie has 10 years professional and semi-professional arena soccer playing experience in the PASL-Pro, MASL and PASL leagues. He has 51 goals, 35 assists in 66 games as a pro.

In addition to his playing experience, Coach Hertsenberg has a USSF National “A” coaching license, a UEFA C License from Deutsche Fussball Verband (German Football Association) and holds NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma Levels 1,2 and 3. He was the Girls Development Academy Head Coach for the Utah Royals U15, U17 and U19 girls.

Larissa Najjar – Lead Designer & Special Projects Manager

The speedy winger finished her fourth season with the Eagles in 2018 and joined the club’s staff later that calendar year as its lead designer. Najjar designed the club’s bright new crest (and merchandise) and is also working with the Eagles front office in matters of sponsorship, marketing, and innovation.

Kelly DeNiro – Special Projects Manager

As a midfielder, Kelly DeNiro is a standout (and a 2017 WPSL All-Star). Off the pitch, the University of Akron graduate is a marketing professional and is working with the Eagles on special projects, including a program that aims to connect local youth clubs to the club as affiliates.

Monique Hanayik – Director of Camps

Monique joined the Eagles in 2017 and made an immediate impact on the pitch, starting in 11 of the club’s 13 matches. In addition to her defensive prowess, the Capital University graduate has taken the responsibility of organizing and coordinating the team’s many youth skills clinics throughout the year.
