Coaching & Professional Staff
Mark Wise – Chief Executive Officer
Using his 20-plus years of coaching experience, Mark has built the Eagles from the ground up and runs day-to-day operations of the club. On top of his duties with CEFC, he is the head girl’s soccer coach at Westerville South High School. Mark holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National B coaching license, a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Advanced National Diploma and a NSCAA goalkeeping I Diploma.
Matt Ogden – Head Coach
The Eagles hired Matt Ogden in December 2018 as the third head coach in club history. Matt brings to the Eagles nearly two decades of experience coaching soccer to girls and women in central Ohio.
Outside of his work with the Eagles, he is the head women’s soccer coach at Capital University, where he won an OAC title and was named Coach of the Year in 2015. He’s also an accomplished club coach with Ohio Premier Soccer.
Michael Flynn – Goalkeeping Coach
Michael came to the Eagles in 2017 after playing professionally as a goalkeeper in the USL and PDL. He also played his college soccer at the University of Cincinnati and is the Director of Goalkeeping for Wright State University’s men’s soccer team.
Grant Burkhardt – Chief Operating Officer
Grant became the Eagles COO in late 2018 in his second full year with the Eagles. He coordinates the club’s extensive marketing operation and plans the Eagles’ events and operations throughout the year. He oversees the club’s live-streaming and video operations, designs and plans the club’s social media marketing, and started the Eagles advisory board. He also was a key part of the club’s successful rebranding project.
Grant is a graduate of Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and the Global Business School of Barcelona.
Larissa Najjar – Lead Designer & Special Projects Manager
The speedy winger finished her fourth season with the Eagles in 2018 and joined the club’s staff later that calendar year as its lead designer. Najjar designed the club’s bright new crest (and merchandise) and is also working with the Eagles front office in matters of sponsorship, marketing, and innovation.
Kelly DeNiro – Special Projects Manager
As a midfielder, Kelly DeNiro is a standout (and a 2017 WPSL All-Star). Off the pitch, the University of Akron graduate is a marketing professional and is working with the Eagles on special projects, including a program that aims to connect local youth clubs to the club as affiliates.
Monique Hanayik – Director of Camps
Monique joined the Eagles in 2017 and made an immediate impact on the pitch, starting in 11 of the club’s 13 matches. In addition to her defensive prowess, the Capital University graduate has taken the responsibility of organizing and coordinating the team’s many youth skills clinics throughout the year.
Jeff Schaffer – Director of Video
Jeff comes to the Eagles from a career in local television sports reporting in Ohio, Texas, and Michigan. The Ohio University graduate is the club’s first-ever Video Director, and will produce content for the Eagles’ social media pages, website, and YouTube channel.
