Eagles Sign Partnership With Celtic Football Club

Columbus Eagles FC become the first all-female partner club in Celtic Football Club's history

Columbus Eagles FC is proud to announce a momentous partnership agreement with Celtic Football Club, the internationally renowned club located in Glasgow, Scotland. The 3-year partnership deal makes the Eagles an international partner of the Celtic Soccer Academy and takes the club to a new level entering 2019. The Eagles are the first all-female partner in Celtic’s history.

“We are excited to be able to partner with Celtic FC to provide mutual support and promotion,” said Mark Wise, owner and CEO of Columbus Eagles FC. “Having the opportunity to host a summer camp staffed by members of their coaching staff will be great for the youth players in central Ohio. We look forward to the possibility of interacting with the Celtic FC’s women’s first team with the thought of creating exciting options for our players.”

As part of the deal, which has been in the works since late 2017, members of Celtic’s women’s first team coaching staff will visit Columbus in summer 2019 to run a 5-day youth soccer camp in affiliation with the Eagles. The details of the camp (dates, times, place, pricing, etc.) are still being determined and will be announced in 2019.

“Columbus Eagles FC has an impressive following, and their hard work and dedication within central Ohio was a major factor in the Celtic Soccer Academy choosing them as their newest club partner,” said Celtic Soccer Academy Manager Alex Macpherson. “We are delighted to add Columbus Eagles FC to our International Club Partnership Programme and it again emphasises our commitment to growing the women’s game and building relationships across the globe. The Eagles are a very ambitious and progressive women’s-specific club and we are looking forward to a long and prosperous partnership with them.”

The Eagles will provide more details about the partnership and next summer’s Celtic camp over the next few months.
