Columbus Eagles GK Coach

Chad Prickett

Columbus, Ohio – For Immediate Release

Chad Prickett has joined the Columbus Eagles FC as their Goalkeeping Coach starting with the 2020 season.

Chad founded Columbus Goalkeeper Academy in 2017 to provide elite-level coaching and competitive, top-flight training to aspiring goalkeepers in and around Central Ohio.

In the 10+ years he has worked with the region’s top keepers, their accomplishments have continued to grow, including multiple National Championships, a US Youth Soccer Golden Glove award, multiple Best XI recognitions and multiple professional contracts.

He’s helped a number of keepers graduate to the next level, with offers from schools like Indiana University, The Ohio State University, Butler University, West Virginia University, University of Iowa, Stanford University, Penn State University, University of Tennessee, Grinnell College, Hamilton College and Transylvania University, to name a few.
Chad has coached three years at the collegiate level, currently serving as goalkeeper coach for both the Ohio Wesleyan University men’s and women’s soccer programs. In his first year with the OWU women, captain and starting goalkeeper Mackenzie Brunke earned first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference and second-team All-Ohio honors. The men’s program wrapped its 2019 season with a 0.47 goals against average, the third-fewest goals allowed in the country, and a #13 national ranking.
He previously coached at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where his senior goalkeeper Adam Miller received All-Conference, All-State and All-Region recognition.
In addition to his CGKA and college coaching responsibilities, Chad also serves as Director of Goalkeeping for Ohio Premier Soccer Club.
His playing experience includes the University of Kentucky, where he credits coaches Chad Liddle and Ricky Wolff with a significant role in his development. He is a 2003 graduate of Dublin Coffman High School, where he lettered all three years after moving to Columbus from Atlanta, Georgia.

In his youth he was a member of the Ohio South ODP State Team and Region II ODP team selection.
A father of two daughters, Peyton and Charlie, Chad and his wife Courtney reside in Powell.
