Columbus Eagles FC started 2018 in flying style Saturday night with a 9-0 win over Ohio Wesleyan University.
Nine goals is a club record for a single match. Dani Gunderson, Lisa Nouanesengsy, Larissa Najjar, Rachel MacLeod, and Ellie Gavin all scored for Columbus. The club remains unbeaten in preseason matches dating back to 2016.
“To finally get into the attack and execute what we’ve been practicing…it’s just huge to see us come together as a whole,” Gunderson said. “I mean, nine goals…that’s amazing.”
