Columbus Eagles FC will play Cincinnati Sirens FC in an indoor friendly match this Saturday, Feb. 10, the teams announced this week. Kickoff is scheduled fot 6:30 p.m. at GameTime Training Center in Fairfield, Ohio. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for kids 12 years old and younger. Tickets are only available at the event.
The Eagles and Sirens will play four 15-minute quarters with a 5-minute halftime break. After the match, the Cincinnati Swerve – the semi-pro men’s team playing in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) – will play a match against the Colorado Blizzard. A ticket for the Eagles/Sirens match is also good for the Swerve match afterward.
Both clubs will have rosters of familiar and new faces as they continue to evaluate their rosters for the upcoming WPSL season.
Tickets are on sale now for the Eagles’ 3-match preseason schedule, which starts April 7. CEFC will announce its full 2018 WPSL schedule next week, so stay tuned for match details and how to get tickets! In the meantime, our season memberships are as affordable as ever.
Columbus vs. Cincinnati
In December, the Eagles hosted Cincinnati at Resolute Athletic Complex where Columbus captain Mary Seiffert scored the winning goal late. That night the Eagles set a club record for highest attendance at an indoor match. That match and the momentum around it also helped the club earn its highest-ever website traffic month.
The Eagles are unbeaten (2-1-0) against Cincinnati in all competitions since the start of 2017, including a 4-2 win over the Sirens at MAPFRE Stadium in June.
